D-Soft Flash Doctor is a specialized program designed to restore the functionality of USB flash drives and hard drives. It may be useful if the software failure on the removable storage device has stopped reading/writing information or if it cannot be formatted in the normal way.

D-Soft Flash Doctor has several functions. First, the program offers a diagnostic tool to scan the drive for bad sectors, and then it can use low-level formatting to restore its performance. Low-level formatting rewrites the whole media, which can bring back flash drives and hard disks that refuse to format in the normal way; the settings let you change the reading and formatting speed, the number of read attempts and whether bad sectors are read. However, there is one unpleasant thing to keep in mind: after formatting, all recorded data will be irretrievably deleted from the drive. It is also worth noting that the program can create an image of a flash drive or disk and later write the saved image back to the same or another drive, which works as a backup of the stored information.

D-Soft Flash Doctor is completely free and is distributed "as is" by D-Software (formerly Dried Software), and it does not install any additional software. The application has a simple Russian-language interface with four large buttons and a settings button, which can be easily understood even by a novice user. In addition, D-Soft Flash Doctor is a portable application that does not require installation on a computer. To use the program, you just need to unpack the archive and run the executable file. The program is no longer developed: the last version is 1.0.4 RC1.
