Drupal is one of the most popular CMS in the world, revered by developers and web designers for its simplicity, flexibility and free distribution. With its help you can easily create absolutely any type of Internet resources, including blogs, business cards, online stores, information resources and so on. What is important, for creation of own site you do not need knowledge of any programming languages and layout skills - abilities of the confident user of the personal computer for work with Drupal will be quite enough.

Installation of CMS is simple and intuitive enough and practically does not differ from installation of other similar decisions. First of all, you need to transfer the files to the hosting using the FTP client (of course, if you are not using your own server). After that you need to enter the address of the future site and view the installer's welcome screen. Next, you will be asked to enter the address of the database, data for the admin and the name of the resource. At this point, the installation of the CMS is finished and you can start working with the site: find a suitable template (which can be found in the network a lot), add all the necessary information, install useful modules, and so on. In general, Drupal is a great solution for those who do not have knowledge of HTML, CSS and PHP, but want to have their own website.

- allows you to create web resources of any type and complexity;

- There are a lot of templates and modules written for the CMS;

- supports most modern web standards;

- is localized into many languages, including Russian;

- has open source code;

- is a CMF (Web Application Creation Environment) combination;

- is distributed completely free of charge.

I love using Drupal for Windows because it provides me with a virtual development environment that I can use to deploy locally. It's incredibly easy to set up since all you need to do is use the WebPlatform Installer to kick off the downloading process. Immediately after downloading Drupal, you can launch it for use. I also really like that Drupal is compatible with Apache as well as NGINX.
