Fractal Explorer is a free program for creating and viewing fractal images, which allows you to quickly generate original fractals based on various mathematical formulas.
This graphical editor allows you to create 2D-fractals, IFS-fractals, Attractors, Quaternions, New Orbit and other geometric shapes using different mathematical formulas (a set of Newton, Mandelbrot, Julia and other variations) and given parameters for the construction. You can also create new shapes using the ready-made shapes stored in the application directory. For post-processing of created images, the program features graphical tools: color palette, scaling, special filters and visual effects. In addition, the program allows you to create fractal landscapes and has a template library (FLL). Fractal Explorer supports well-known fractal graphics formats: frp, frs, fri, fro, fr3, fr4 and others. The finished images can be saved in the original format, converted to jpg, png, bmp formats, created avi video clips or printed on a printer.
Fractal Explorer allows you to easily create and view original fractal images using various mathematical formulas.
Fractal Explorer is a portable (not requiring installation on a computer) application with a simple interface, standard for photo editors, which includes a toolbar, advanced settings menu and workspace.

Fractal Explorer provides a gateway to the captivating realm of fractals enables you to generate and visualize kinds of fractals and patterns from collections, like Madelbrot to 3D and 4D objects. This software supports a diverse range of fractal types and file formats, including FRS, FR3, FR4, FRI, FRO, IFS and FLP. You have the option to save projects or individual images in formats such as JPG, BMP, GIF and PNG. Additionally they can create animations in AVI format. While the rendering process may vary based on factors like frame, count and image quality Fractal Explorer offers customized options for each type of fractal. These options include adjusting color palettes, brightness levels, contrast levels, saturation levels and gradient levels. Despite its capabilities Fracal Explorere boasts a user interface, with an intuitive layout that makes it easy for users to explore and create their own unique fractal images. Also, the software seems to not have been updated since 2005, but I like the program, and it is really awesome for classical Mandelbrot/2D fractals, but also have some 3D capability added.
