Fritzing is a unique software from the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam to convert a prototype into a physical model. The application is an open-source utility that facilitates the work process of specialists of different levels (artists, engineers, designers, etc.). The program allows you to create models of printed circuit boards and turn them into real PCBs.

Convenient prototyping tools are designed to make it as easy as possible to turn an idea into a digital project. Circuit diagrams are reliable and do not need to be modified to start the production of boards. The program interface requires good PC skills. The main window of Fritzing is a desktop with the possibility of designing a board. To create a layout, it is enough to choose the desired location of the desired chips and ways of their connection to the board.

Fritzing simplifies the transition from a digital prototype to a physical model, making it invaluable for engineers, designers, and artists alike.

- Providing a fast and highly automated workflow;

- Creation of full-fledged layouts of printed-circuit boards;

- the possibility of exporting documents;

- comfortable desktop with ready-made chip types;

- free use.

PROS
Allows for easy and efficient circuit design.
Offers a user-friendly interface.
Provides an extensive library of components.

CONS
Limited features compared to professional circuit design software.
Steep learning curve for beginners.

Fritzing is a computer aided design type software. It is used to design electronic hardware. It is considered an open-source hardware initiative.

This software is used to build prototypes of electronic hardware. Users can document their prototypes directly in this software. It also has a shareable feature as well. It is heavily used to teach students about electronic component and their usage. Sometimes professional manufacturers also use this software to design their PCBs.
