Show off your skills and outsmart your opponent with the Gin Rummy software! This two-player game starts with each player being dealt 10 cards. One card is placed face up on the discard pile in the center of the table, while the rest of the cards are placed face down in the draw pile to the left of the discard pile. You start the round by picking up a card from either the draw pile or the discard pile, then discard a card from your hand. The computer does the same and the game continues.

Each hand formed during the game consists of combinations and unused cards. The goal is to reduce the number of points held by your unused cards. Combinations can be made up of either 3 or 4 cards of the same rank, or 3 or more consecutive cards of the same suit. A card cannot be used in two different combinations. Cards that cannot be paired in a combination are called unused cards.

Features:
  • Each unused card brings in points. For example, an ace is worth 1 point, a 2 is worth 2 points, and so on, with Jacks, Queens, and Kings each being worth 10 points.
  • After discarding a card, you can end your turn by knocking if your deadwood points are 10 or less. The computer will then have a chance to get rid of its unused cards if they can form combinations with yours.
  • If you have no unused cards, the computer cannot discard any of its cards, and you receive an extra 25 points.
  • If all 11 cards in your hand form valid combinations, you can knock before discarding a card, earning you an additional 6 points.

The game ends when a player reaches 100 points. However, if only two cards remain in the draw pile, the game ends in a draw. With the Gin Rummy software, you can form as many combinations as possible to become the Gin Rummy champion!
