Guitar Effects GuitarFX

GuitarFX is software that allows you to process sound from your electric guitar and apply various effects to it. To connect an electric guitar to a computer, you need a 1/4" to 1/8" jack adapter, which is connected to the line or microphone input of the sound card. GuitarFX is able to apply effects to guitar signals with low latency (down to 11 ms). The program is equipped with such modules as distortion, overdrive, reverb, noise suppressor, chorus, flanger and delay, as well as 8 and 16 band equalizers and various digital filters (low-pass, high-pass and band-pass), which help to remove noise from the sound and imitate a speaker cabinet. GuitarFX differs from similar programs in that it is easy to create effect chains. Up to 16 effect blocks (different or identical) can be used in the effect chain. The program is not limited to applying effects - you can also record and play WAV files at the same time. The program provides an opportunity to work in stereo mode, which gives a surround live sound. You can process guitar signals in stereo mode at 48 kHz only on relatively powerful computers. GuitarFX is shareware by Dmitry Simanenkov, so the demo version should be tried before buying a licence. It was written for Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 and XP and is no longer developed.
