IE Tab

IE Tab - a small browser extension that allows you to browse the Internet pages that are optimized for Internet Explorer through other browsers. It started as a free add-on for Mozilla Firefox and Flock and is now developed by Blackfish Software for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. This is necessary when you encounter sites and web applications that do not display or work correctly outside Internet Explorer. The extension opens any site in a tab using the Internet Explorer engine built into Windows. Besides, the program provides the possibility to set up automatic opening of sites intended for the IE engine through its Auto URLs list.

In the current version, you click the IE Tab icon on the browser toolbar to show the page with the Internet Explorer engine; this requires the small IE Tab Helper program for Windows. The options let you choose a compatibility mode from IE 7 to IE 11, share sessions between tabs and edit SharePoint documents directly. The older Firefox add-on worked from the right-click menu ("Display page in IE Tab") and a status bar icon, but it stopped working when Firefox dropped legacy extensions.

IE Tab allows seamless browsing of Internet Explorer-optimized webpages directly within other browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
