iTextSharp for Windows is a practical and reliable way to generate documents from XML files. At its heart, it is a lightweight Java library that makes it easier to create, inspect and maintain dynamic documents generated from XML files and that incorporate and take advantage of the interactive features of the PDF format. The ultimate goal of iTextSharp is to make generating documents and reports from XML files and data straightforward and intuitive.

Java developers use iTextSharp to make enhancing web and other applications with dynamic PDF formatting easier. Once the iTextSharp Java library is added to an application's development workspace, all of its unique JAVA classes are easily accessible. These include high-level objects like Phrase, Paragraph, or List.

With iTextSharp, you can create PDF documents with written code or by using an AcroForm or an XML Forms Architecture. Programmers can also create documents as achievable or accessible PDFs. What’s more, iTextSharp also lets you use Google Font APIs in scripts because it gives you access to the FontFactory and BaseFont arguments. It also allows you to secure documents using encryption protected by passwords or certificates.

All in all, iTextSharp is a handy JAVA library used by developers to create PDF documents within web browsers, manipulate PDF documents directly in web browsers, and split or concatenate pages from existing PDF files.
