jZip is an exceptional piece of software that does the job equal to if not better than equivalent software which you'd have to pay for. The program enables you to decide how much space you really want to save prior to compressing, allows you to preview files such as images prior to compressing to see how much the quality changes and even allows you to protect files with a password, ensuring security is maintained. Best of all, it works fast and efficiently which is crucial if you have hundreds of files to compress like me.

I was looking for software to help me with file compression and I happen upon this one.  jZip is a powerful compression utitility.  This guy Igor Pavlov developed it.  It's quite good actually.  I love the user interface.  It's so intuitive.  I am a sucker for a good interface.  The face that it's a reliable piece of software too is just so amazing.  I am loving it.  It's a fast compression engine and it's free.

It is a file compression software that allows users to compress files into .zip format, allowing for easy transfer of numerous files across the internet, or just for archiving. Unlike WinZip, jZip is free to use and practically contains all of the same features as other compression software, though the only issue is that it does not support nearly as many file types. However, for a free alternative, it is very much so an app that should be considered for use.

I love jZip! It really is free and easy! Extraction and file compression is what I use the most. Anyone can use this without worrying about their files. Please actually read the instructions for how to use it though: if you don't understand what different file types there are and when to use them, or why, you may not appreciate this little tool for what it is.

I love using jZip for Windows because it's a program that makes it really easy to compress files so I can prep them for transfer. Once transferred, I can use this same program to handle the decompression.
