MetroTwit for Windows is a sleek Twitter client that integrates perfectly with your Windows desktop in an attempt to provide all the features and functionalities of the official Twitter app from your desktop. Images can be attached to tweets, which are easily written and posted from the bottom of the window. Also, the instant messaging and VoIP tool gives you almost real-time interaction with the popular social media site.

Customization includes a day and night mode, and a themed backgrounds feature for the sidebar and a notification pause feature that lets you control notifications both visually and audibly. MetroTwit doesn't consume a lot of CPU power or RAM. Its refresh rate is fast, and it runs smoothly on most systems, so it won't crash Windows or cause a pop-up error dialog.
