Portable HD Tune (EFD Software) is a portable utility for testing hard drive performance. The active window of the program informs the user about the state of the disk, its maximum and minimum operating speed, CPU load. On the Info tab, you can check the capacity, type, and status of each partition of the hard drive. The program supports the following functions: Read Look-Ahead, write cache, Host Protected Area, security mode, power management and much more. You can also view the health status of your hard drive (so-called SMART) and perform error scans. All results can be viewed in the form of charts. A screenshot of the test results can be saved as a .PNG file.
The program uses a small amount of system resources, but does not contain reference information about the features of the work. Therefore, for inexperienced users, the Portable HD Tune interface can create some difficulties.
