PSPad is a pretty awesome idea that I wish I had thought of! I have had countless PS4 controllers that developed stick drift or just decided to stop working altogether. I decided to turn my smartphone into a controller with this software. The sensitivity needs a little work as it is not as efficient as a real controller but it all depends on the device you are using I suppose. Overall, it's a fantastic substitute if you're in need of a quick or temporary replacement controller.
