Quip Desktop is a productivity tool suite designed for businesses to foster collaboration between employees on projects. It accomplishes this by integrating tools like a document browser and a spreadsheet viewer directly into Salesforce. These tools are also integrated with co-editing features that allow for multiple employees to access, modify, and work together on projects. These tools are also horizontally integrated, in that they all work with each other. For example, spreadsheets you type up are easily integrated into documents.

Quip also eliminates the tedium of version control between files and office programs, allowing all employees to be on the same page and easily access each other's work. However, collaborative tools are moot without a chat that allows employees to seamlessly discuss documents between files. Thankfully, Quip provides a chat feature that is integrated with all the separate tools it offers, as well as providing team rooms and a 1 to 1 message. Quip is also scalable, growing with the needs and demands of the business.

The key to making all of this work is accessibility. Quip is available on both Microsoft Windows and Apple OSX. This is integral as it allows all employees within an organization to use the product. There is also a mobile platform available so employees can keep up with the flow of their teams even when they are away from the office. This further allows all the individuals in a business to be on the same page.

The software also comes with a variety of time-saving templates. These range from templates to transcribe notes from meetings easily to a live deal feed, which updates as deals are made. This can, at the very least, take the hassle out of usually mundane tasks and perhaps even bring employees onto the same page with the growth and momentum of the business. Other templates for client notes can keep many individuals on a single page when it comes to dealing with business contacts, allowing for consistency in communications.

Finally, Quip stores all of the files and documents generated on the cloud, which contributes to its scalability. With the cloud, all employees will have access to all the files that are necessary to them. This also allows a business to dynamically scale how much storage space they have, so they never have to worry about running out of space again!

All in all, Quip consolidates a myriad of necessary and useful tools into one hassle-free package so a business can focus more on their products and clients instead of their internal management.
