Computer super users are quick to note that locating, examining, and editing multiple registry entries is not easy. In the past, you often relied on RegEdit, chose the find option, entered the search string, and watched for results. This works, but it's slow and forces you to evaluate registry keys as they appear and then moving on. If you're searching for multiple registries, this is extremely tedious.
However, That was all before RegScanner. RegScanner is a small portable utility that is designed to reduce the hassles from RegEdit alone. While it is a free Windows utility, it allows you to manage registries simply and safely and can be set to the default system registry software. Reg Scanner lets you specify the base keys and values you'd like, carry out case sensitive searches, and there is even an option to examine registries you've modified in the time period you specify. The best part of the software is that it is all displayed in a single list. Unlike with RegEdit, you don't have to continuously search for information, and it appears in a simple to view, side by side result. The results show information such as registry name, key, type, data, modified time, and data length.
When you find one that you need to edit, you can quickly press F8, and the registry will open in RegEdit. It is important to note that RegScanner does not include an editor; you also need RegEdit for this. However, all it takes is you to simply double click the registry item or export the found registry values into a .ref file.
RegScanner does not require additional installation processes or DLL's, making it a simple, easy to use utility. It is also available for Windows 98, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10. Further, it doesn't have to ask for administrator privileges, so there's no need to find someone to help you.
RegScanner is a simple tool that allows you to find and edit registry values and search at once.Features:
While RegScanner is not for the beginner user and lacks a help manual, the usefulness to those with the skill level to require editing a registry makes this not a big deal. All things considered, RegScanner's ease of use makes it the small, lightweight system utility to find, edit, and modify system registries.
