Resistor Plus

Resistor Plus from Microsys is a utility for electronics hobbyists, students and technicians who need to identify resistors. Picking the colours of three to six bands shows the resistance, tolerance and other values at once, and the reverse direction works too: entering a value produces the matching colour code to look for in a box of parts.

Surface-mount resistors are covered by decoding three- and four-digit SMD codes and the EIA-96 system. The program also calculates the equivalent resistance of resistors connected in series or in parallel, can analyse a resistor from a photo and saves the result as a JPEG or BMP image. It is operated with the keyboard or the mouse.
