ShowXpress is a software application from CHAUVET DJ that turns almost any computer into a lighting console and enables users to create, store and play back lighting scenes with any DMX lighting fixture for live events and performances. The program works together with the CHAUVET DJ Xpress USB and wireless DMX interfaces, which connect the computer to the lights. This software is an intuitive solution for the biggest and smallest of light shows, from mobile DJ setups to clubs and stages, allowing users to quickly program and play back lighting scenes to create an atmosphere.

ShowXpress allows users to easily control and manage their lighting to create light shows with minimal effort.

Features

The ShowXpress software has several features that make it easy and intuitive to use. A show is programmed on three main screens, Setup, Editor and Live. Some of the features include:

• Setup screen: assign DMX starting addresses to the fixtures in your rig and patch them to the available universes.

• Editor screen: program scenes for moving heads, LED fixtures and other DMX devices and save them to the hard disk for later use.

• Live screen: import the scenes programmed in the Editor as Live buttons and trigger them during the show.

• Fixture library: ShowXpress includes a large library of DMX fixture profiles from most lighting manufacturers, and if your fixture is not in the library, you can create your own profile.

• 3D viewer: customize the room, arrange the lights as needed and preview your show in real time.

• Up to 6 universes: the software itself can control up to 6 DMX universes (3,072 DMX channels); the actual number depends on the interface.

• Xpress interfaces: DMX output goes through a CHAUVET DJ interface such as Xpress 100, Xpress 512, Xpress 512 Plus, Xpress-512S, Xpress 1024W or Xpress-Rack 1024.

• Two versions: the current ShowXpress II and the legacy version 9 are offered; they are not compatible, so moving to ShowXpress II means reprogramming all scenes.

• Windows and Mac: ShowXpress II runs on 64-bit Windows 10 and 11 and on macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon), and an Android version is also available.

• Free download: ShowXpress is a free download from CHAUVET DJ for PC and Mac; on Windows the interface drivers are installed separately.
