One of the main issues with RGB is how to manage various RGB components made by various manufacturers. SignalRGB addresses this issue. SignalRGB offers a common approach. It is a single piece of software that enables hardware-free control and synchronization of your preferred RGB devices.

The software, created by Whirlwind FX, comes in two variations. The regular version is entirely free and offers basic RGB effects, essential monitoring stats, fan control presets and device support. Advanced features, including more than 45 game integrations, over 250 RGB effects, more than 20 audio visualizers, custom multi-point fan curves, customizable monitoring widgets, unlimited macros and camera-reactive effects, are accessible through the Pro subscription; individual effects can also be bought with Light Points. With support for more than 6,000 devices from brands such as Razer, Corsair, SteelSeries, Logitech and MSI, SignalRGB is one of the few universal options to sync RGB across a variety of parts and gadgets.

The software is always being improved, and at the same time, new devices are being added to the list. It is also possible to ask for a specific device to be included in SignalRGB, though this process could take some time, particularly if your device is not commonly available. To add a light strip, fan or another device connected to an ARGB header on your motherboard or controller, click the large + icon that corresponds to that header and select the device from the list that is provided. You may also create a customized entry; just enter the number of LEDs you're controlling in the LED count field and select the Create button.

SignalRGB is a Windows desktop application and needs a 64-bit edition of Windows 10 (version 1903 or later) or Windows 11. Signing in to a SignalRGB account is required, so an Internet connection is needed on first launch. The effect library is divided into Home, Free, Pro, New & Updated and Installed sections, and the My Rig area includes Devices, Layouts, Cooling, PC Monitoring, Macros and Network pages, where Cooling, PC Monitoring and Macros are marked as Pro features.
