SimpleTV

SimpleTV is an IPTV player that allows you to create and view TV channel lists, record broadcasts and play media files. You can skip the process of installing the program on your computer because it is portable. It is developed by SergeyVS and built on the VLC engine, so it plays most stream types and local video formats. The player does not come with channels of its own: you load M3U playlists from your provider.

So, what does SimpleTV do? In addition to recording and playback of broadcasts, it can also work with LUA scripts that load channels and process stream addresses, and it can search for multicast channels. The interface can be customised as desired. Each of the program components: the channel list, the playback control panel and the player window are separate windows that can be freely moved around the screen and scaled. A TV program guide (EPG) can be downloaded for the channels, and recordings can be scheduled from it. Built-in player supports full-screen mode, has a built-in equalizer and a convenient selector of the image aspect ratio.

The program supports the possibility of simultaneous viewing of several broadcasts. That is, picture-in-picture and Multi PiP modes show several channels at once, and you can even record several of them. The same applies to playback of media files. Among the obvious advantages of SimpleTV is a convenient panel for editing the channel list. By pressing a couple of keys you can delete one or more channels from the list, change their order, add a new source and so on.
