A clone of Microsoft Office, but without the hefty price tag. An easy multitool application that will fit your school or work needs.

  • Textmaker is the Microsoft equivalent of what would be Microsoft word. That is, without the hefty price that you would have had to pay to activate it. Textmaker provides an easy to learn and typing experience to document your papers and any other report taking tasks one may need. It's simple and has nearly all the features its Microsoft counterpart has. If you need to type an essay it's easy. If you need to format a paper it's easy.
  • Planmaker is would be the equivalent of excel. There are the same formatting and cell layout that excel has, with mirrored qualities that someone even an accountant could use to compile large data and analyze it. Moreover, it's optimized for touchscreens and has an easy to learn interface on any device you may choose.
  • Presentations are equivalent to what PowerPoint would be. It's an easy to use application that can create presentations for any occasion. Furthermore, it can combine multiple mediums of work: including art, pictures, tables that can be compiled into slides for a better viewing experience. The transitions that are integrated provide a seamless experience with a multitude of effects that can bring spice to any project one wants to display.

All the basic office functions can be found in this software. I especially like the presentation feature which is quite powerful, with a lot of features. The format compatibility with Microsoft Office is also quite good. The support team is also very responsive and helpful. I was able to find the answers to all my questions quickly. All in all, SoftMaker FreeOffice is a great, free alternative for those who don’t need the full features of Microsoft Office.
