Sony Imaging Edge Desktop

Sony Imaging Edge Desktop gives photographers a Windows workspace for shooting with a connected Sony camera and working with the resulting pictures. It suits studio setups where the camera is mounted away from the computer, as well as sessions that involve selecting and refining many photographs. Users can inspect JPEG and RAW images, identify their preferred shots and prepare edited files for use elsewhere.

The desktop hub opens separate tools for camera operation, image review and adjustment. A camera linked by USB or Wi-Fi can show its view on the computer while the user changes focus and shooting settings. The browser offers thumbnails, comparison views, ratings and composition guides. RAW adjustments cover exposure, colour and white balance, with export options for common image files and tools for combining compatible multi-shot captures.
