For 3D printers, Cura is an open-source slicing program. David Braam, who developed it, eventually became a software maintenance employee of Ultimaker, a manufacturer of 3D printers. Cura is accessible through the LGPLv3 license.

The most widely used 3D printing software in the world, Ultimaker Cura, is trusted by millions of users. With a few clicks, create prints, interface with CAD software for a simpler workflow, or explore custom options for comprehensive control.

Operating systems that are actively maintained by their software manufacturer or community are supported by Ultimaker Cura. Accordingly, "Windows 7" and "MacOS 10.14" are no longer supported at this time.

One of the most widely used slicers is Cura. There are numerous alternatives for specialists as well as many options for beginners, and it is free to download. This slicer is incredibly successful due to its user-friendliness, compatibility with the majority of 3D printers, and the numerous choices for optimizing 3D prints.

Cura for Ultimaker is a simple program that works on outdated hardware. The size of the 3D models that are loaded has a significant impact on the quantity of RAM, CPU, and GPU that is required.

The sophisticated, open-source slicing engine that powers Ultimaker Cura was created over years of seasoned internal development and user contributions.

Set configurations in sync. Your machine's loaded Ultimaker print core and material setup is automatically synchronised with Ultimaker Cura.
