WebCam Companion is an application that allows you to shoot HD and 3D video with a webcam, take snapshots from the camera and apply animation effects. WebCam Companion lets you capture 3D video using a twin-webcam setup (and even a regular webcam), record high-resolution video clips, and adjust picture settings (brightness, contrast, sharpness, etc.). With the help of this program you will be able to overlay animation on your image, use the "picture-in-picture" function, apply various graphic effects, create templates and publish the results of your work on YouTube, Twitter and Flickr.

In addition, WebCam Companion can watch the scene in its Monitor mode - for example, when the program detects motion or a face in the webcam frame, it automatically starts recording to the hard drive - you do not even have to click on the button! The created snapshot can be immediately edited by adjusting the color correction parameters, rotating and cropping the image, removing noise from it, etc. The Masque tool merges your face into another character, and Fun Frame adds decorative frames to your pictures. WebCam Companion 4 was sold by ArcSoft as a paid program with a free trial and is no longer developed.
