Report misleading

WinPatrol War for Windows helps to protect your computer against ransomware and malware. It has been in development for over 20 years and the developers are working hard to constantly upgrade it with the latest protections. It is able to block any type of malware and worked against some simulated malware attacks. Although there is one type of malware it fails to block. The interface is mostly good but clunky and not too easy to parse in some sections.

You can create safely protected folders with the program that only other trusted software can access. It comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee in case you are not happy with the software. It might sometimes provide false positives though. For most tests that were run against this software it successfully stopped the malware before it could do too much harm. Techradar uses simulated ransomware RanSim and RanTest and it worked at blocking these attacks. Although they recommend that you can get similar or better protection for free.

The interface is not as easy to parse as other similar programs but is still quick to understand. It also comes with a helpful help section to explain anything that might not be clear right away. So the interface is mostly well designed and good for what the program does.

Good for dealing with general malware.

  • Creates protected folders
  • Protects against any kind of ransomware.
  • Money-back guarantee
  • Many useful options
  • Blocks many kinds of malware
If you're looking for a way to safeguard your computer device from harmful ransomware or malware, then check out WinPatrol WAR for Windows. This program makes your device airtight against malware of all types and even allows you to create folders that are secure and protected. The interface is straightforward as long as you have a couple of minutes to get familiar with it.
I like that it compared itself to Mcafee and Norton Antivirus and that it says it has 4 different layers of security.
