Word Repair is a program that can be used to repair damaged documents in the .DOC format - the old Microsoft Word 6.0, 95, 97, 2000, XP and 2003 versions. Sometimes it happens that the documents saved on your computer are not opened by Ward. Errors can be very different, the most frequent of which are the following:
an error when trying to open a file;
invalid document name or specified path;
cannot open the document: access rights error;
the document is opened, but instead of text unreadable characters and so on.
Basically, these errors occur in documents due to computer malfunctions or hang-ups, especially if this happens at the time the file is saved. Also, the text file may be damaged as a result of a problem with the hard disk or due to damage to the file system, the document may have been accidentally deleted and then recovered. All this may cause the above messages to appear instead of opening the file.
In most cases, Word Repair can quickly resolve this problem. To do this, start the program and select the damaged document. After a quick scan, the recovered data will be displayed in the preview window. Then you can just save the file and continue working with it in the editor. Please note that Word Repair does not work with Word 2007 and newer formats (.DOCX).
