AMD Radeon RAMDisk is a utility from the developer Advanced Micro Devices Inc. The program is developed for processors based on AMD or Intel and requires at least 512 Mb of RAM for correct functioning. Subject to these conditions, AMD Radeon RAMDisk is able to significantly improve the performance of individual applications and the system as a whole through the special use of RAM resources.
The application creates separate RAM partitions that perform much faster than a regular hard drive or even an SSD. Such possibilities of the program will be useful to those users who show high requirements to resources of the personal computer (to gamers, designers, engineers-designers etc.). In order to create a RAMDisc, the user must perform a number of sequential actions: load the program, choose the size of the disk to be created (max. 4 GB) and the type of file system (FAT 16, FAT 32). Next, select the boot sector type (Windows/DOS) and start the process of creating a new RAMDisc.
- Creation of RAM partitions with high performance;
- the ability to load a disk image at startup;
- flexible settings;
- increasing the system's performance.
