Baidu Antivirus

The developers stopped supporting the antivirus.

Baidu Antivirus is a free antivirus for Windows that was designed to protect a personal computer from a variety of threats. This application uses three anti-virus engines: Baidu Antivirus, Baidu Cloud Security and Avira Antivirus. The Avira engine can be switched on or off separately for real-time protection and for virus scans in the program settings.

The user interface of the application is simple, with Quick Scan, Full Scan and Custom Scan buttons on the main screen, and is easy to use even for an inexperienced user. The settings cover file real-time protection, proactive defense, USB protection, download protection and scheduled scans. A Toolbox adds a malicious plug-in cleaner, system repair, a network traffic monitor and browser homepage protection. The application relied on cloud file scanning and online updates of virus definitions; since the service was shut down, the virus databases are no longer updated. The last version, 5.4.3, supports Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8. The product was distributed free of charge.

Baidu Antivirus combined its own local engine, Baidu cloud scanning and the Avira engine in one free package.
