Cross DJ - DJ Mixing Software by Mixvibes

Cross DJ is a DJ mixing application by Mixvibes, designed to help DJs create smooth mixes for their audience. It gives DJs virtual decks with scrolling waveforms, a mixer with EQs, beat-matching tools, effects and samplers, and it can be controlled with the mouse, the keyboard or a hardware DJ controller.

On Windows, Cross DJ was offered as a free edition with the core mixing features and a paid Pro edition with additional features. Mixvibes no longer offers Cross DJ for Windows: the current Cross DJ app is available only for iOS, Android and macOS, so the Windows version is no longer developed. The mobile and Mac versions have moved on with features such as real-time stem separation, Automix and Ableton Link support.

Cross DJ allows users to beat-match and mix tracks from their music library in an intuitive way.

Features

Decks and Waveforms: Cross DJ shows scrolling waveforms for every deck, and decks C and D can be switched between track players and samplers, so DJs can mix with up to four decks. Tracks are dragged onto the decks from the built-in music library browser.

Audio Engine: Cross DJ analyzes tracks for tempo and musical key, creates beat grids automatically and plays common audio formats such as MP3, WAV, AIFF and FLAC.

Performance Controls: Cross DJ includes a range of performance controls such as sync, tempo and pitch control, hot cues and seamless loops, so DJs can quickly adjust and beat-match their tracks.

Creative Tools: Cross DJ includes two samplers with eight pads each and three play modes (loop, one shot and hold), so DJs can add samples, loops and other elements to their mixes.

Mixing Effects: Cross DJ includes a four-channel mixer with four-band EQs and a range of effects to help DJs create seamless transitions between tracks and add interest to their mixes.

DJ Gear Support: Cross DJ ships with mappings for dozens of MIDI DJ controllers, and the full version also supports timecode vinyl and CDJ control, allowing DJs to mix with their favorite DJ gear.

Cross DJ suits DJs who want a straightforward mixing application for parties, practice and live sets. Its clear interface, automatic beat analysis and controller support make it easy to start mixing, but Windows users should keep in mind that the program is no longer updated.
