Elementary OS is an operating system (OS) based on the Ubuntu distribution. As a standard desktop environment, this operating system uses the elegant Pantheon interface, which in many respects resembles a MacOS shell.

One of the key features of elementary OS is the open source application store (AppCenter). Among them there are both free and paid programs. Fortunately, for the second category of utilities there is a rule: "pay as much as you can". This means that users indicate the amount of the donation themselves, and thus support the utility developers. In any case, you can always specify 0 in the column "Price" and download the application for free. In fact, the store encourages third party customers to contribute to the development of the free software ecosystem.

Elementary OS provides a stylish interface combined with an open-source application store, supporting both free and donation-based programs, ideal for creatives.

OS also includes firmware that is used to solve simple tasks: sending mail, creating a screenshot, calculating numbers, managing logical disks, displaying a calendar on the desktop, playing video/audio tracks and others. Among the built-in utilities we should mention the universal Code editor that supports various programming languages and extensions and also allows you to work directly with Git. In addition, a firewall, a utility for comprehensive cleaning of the system from garbage files and a location shutdown/enabling service are available "out of the box". The latter includes the ability to deactivate various applications that request geodata from the user.

Elementary OS is considered one of the most beautiful OSs. It is suitable for designers, artists, web developers and all those who are looking for a free Linux-based work platform with a nice interface and a wide range of features.

- a large selection of beautiful wallpaper;

- Flexible interface settings;

- enables you to customize the display of notifications;

- support for night display mode.

I have been using Elementary OS for the past couple of months and have been quite pleased with its performance. The OS is quite intuitive and the user interface is extremely user-friendly. I have also had no issues with the stability and security of the OS. The AppCenter is a great way to find and install new applications as well as updates. I really like the built-in calendar and text editor, which are both quite well-designed. The notifications system is quite helpful and I really appreciate the dark mode option. The system settings are quite comprehensive and I like the inclusion of a built-in firewall. Overall, Elementary OS is a great operating system.

The interface of this operating system is clean and user-friendly. The pre-installed applications are useful for daily tasks. The software runs smoothly and does not require high system requirements. The customization options are limited but sufficient for most users. The community support is active and helpful. The updates are frequent and bring improvements to the system.
