Elgato Wave Link

Elgato Wave Link is a free audio mixing application for recording and streaming audio. With Wave Link, users can easily control their audio setup, whether they're recording a podcast, streaming on Twitch, or talking with friends in a voice chat.

1. Multi-Channel Mixer: Wave Link features a software mixer that combines microphones with up to eight other audio sources, such as games, browsers, Discord, music players and capture cards. Each channel has its own volume fader, mute button and level meter in every mix.

2. Audio Routing: Wave Link installs virtual audio devices, so applications can be assigned to separate channels in the Windows sound settings or directly in the app. This makes it easy to keep game, chat and music audio apart, or to send a finished mix to a hardware output device, for example.

3. Audio Monitoring: Wave Link also features a Monitor Mix, which lets users hear their microphone and other sources in real time through headphones. This makes it easy to make sure that audio levels are balanced before recording or streaming.

4. Separate Mixes: Wave Link 3.0 can create up to five independent mixes, each with its own level for every source, so viewers of a stream can hear a different balance than the one in your headphones.

5. Effects Plugins: Wave Link can load VST3 effects on Windows and Audio Unit plugins on macOS, which can be used to add noise removal, EQ, compression or other processing to a channel.

6. Works with Any Microphone: Wave Link 3.0 supports any USB microphone, XLR interface or other audio device, and it adds extra controls for Elgato Wave microphones and interfaces, including Clipguard protection against distortion.

7. Light Audio Engine: Wave Link mixes audio at 48 kHz with 24-bit resolution in stereo, and according to Elgato it uses only a small share of the CPU, so it can run next to games and streaming software.

8. Multi-Platform Support: Wave Link is available for both Windows and macOS, so the same mixer can be used on either system.

9. Integration with Elgato Stream Deck: Wave Link works with the Elgato Stream Deck through a dedicated plugin, allowing users to control their audio setup with the press of a button.

10. Visual Metering: Wave Link includes a visual metering feature, which allows users to monitor their audio levels in real-time. This makes it easy to ensure that audio levels are balanced and optimized.
