GARbro is a file browser for people working with visual novel assets. It lets users examine supported game archives without unpacking everything first. You can navigate folders, inspect an archive's contents, view pictures and listen to sound files in the same interface. It is useful for finding artwork, audio or other resources that you want to examine or save.
Open supported game archives like folders, then save the files you need in more widely used formats.
To explore an archive, select it in the file browser and open it to display the files inside. You can unpack chosen items, save pictures and sounds in more widely used formats, or correct a file type identified incorrectly from its extension. Some protected archives ask for credentials or the name of the game. Commands are also available for building archives and changing file formats.
