Having said that, this will be the best update to your Garmin device. Not only does it practically guarantees the longevity of your device but it also saves you a lot of headaches when it comes to regular updates. The only other complaint I have about the software is that Garmin doesn't actually recommend the software and you have to search for it.

Garmin MapInstall is a maps related software. It can installs maps into Garmin USB based GPS devices. It can also install the maps into the SD Card Readers as well.
Users can easily update their Garmin maps directly. It supports direct WiFi networks as well. However, it only supports the Windows operating system. Users can install and use it on 32 bit or 64 bit operating system.
However, very few people use this software. Therefore, the community support is extremely limited.

I drive a lot for work, and let me tell you, the stock maps in my Garmin do not keep up with the times. Especially in rural areas, things like construction and bridge closures move faster than Garmin does, so I need to make sure my maps are always updated from any source possible. MapInstall makes that a breeze.

This software is for Garmin and it is free. It only needs three steps and it is free. However, I have no ideas why Garmin did not support this software. It should give it a shot to proof if it is like what the company said.

Most of us have an old Garmin laying around that has become obsolete, but now you can actually update your Garmin with your Windows computer. Install additional maps onto your Garmin really easily and it doesn't even require any technical knowledge. It is super easy to download and update your maps and your father will probably thank you for it later. Plus you can access all of the maps from your computer which is nice as well.

This software improved my gps's performance significantly. Before installing it, my gps wouldn't work too well in crowded areas and in between buildings in the city, but now it seems to deal with those issues pretty well, i've even noticed an improved signal in a lot of places, good stuff!

MapInstall is a great product and does exactly what it intends to do, the GPS is always up to date and it seems to offer the best navigation routes when I'm driving. I rarely have encountered any problems when using it at all and it's very easy to update and the customer support offered is superb. Overall great for navigating inner cities.
