Gmail Notifier is a program that notifies you when you receive new messages in Gmail.

Gmail Notifier can be downloaded and installed on Windows to receive notifications of new Gmail messages.

The program is located in the system tray and shows an icon in the form of a letter, if there are unread Gmail messages in your inbox. The program can also display the subject of the message, the sender and the first line of the message - all this you can see without opening a web browser.

After installing Notifier, you can use the following functions:

Every two minutes the program will automatically check the mailbox for new messages.

Possibility of viewing the first lines in 30 unread messages.

You can select a sound to notify you of unread messages.

Ability to set Gmail as the default mail client.

I think that habing the app install to windows or the OS in general is a bad idea, making it an extension of internet browsers would be a cleaner more user friendly route. I personally would not want to download an app to use for emails.

Awesome, this sounds great for someone who is on the computer a lot, and would need to stay in touch with their gmail account. Definitely recommend, I don't know anyone I can recommend it to off hand, but I am sure I will eventually recommend it to atleast one person, gmail is so widely used that I am sure I will mention it to someone! Great idea!
