Hitomi Downloader

Hitomi Downloader is a free desktop utility for Windows that downloads images, videos, music and text from a wide range of websites. You paste one or more page URLs into the address bar and the program fetches the whole gallery, profile or video. The developer's GitHub repository was blocked in March 2026 after a DMCA notice, so the last release is version 4.2 from October 2024.

• Multi-threaded downloads: Hitomi Downloader can use up to 24 threads in a single task and run several tasks at once, making it fast with large galleries.

Hitomi Downloader lets you download entire galleries, profiles and videos from dozens of websites just by pasting their URLs.

• Wide site support: Hitomi Downloader has modules for Pixiv, DeviantArt, ArtStation, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, Imgur, Flickr, Pinterest, YouTube, bilibili and other sites, plus many more through yt-dlp.

• Torrent Support: Hitomi Downloader can add torrent files and magnet links from the Tasks menu and download them like any other task.

• Streaming Formats: Hitomi Downloader can save videos delivered as M3U8 and MPD streams, and it can convert a video to MP3 when only the audio is needed.

• Clipboard Monitor: when this option is enabled, Hitomi Downloader picks up supported URLs copied to the clipboard and adds them to the queue automatically.

• Task Organization: downloads can be grouped, filtered and sorted, and selected tasks can be exported to a file and imported again later.

• Browser Integration: Hitomi Downloader has a companion Chrome extension, making it easier to send the page you are viewing to your download queue.

• Proxy Support: Hitomi Downloader can route its connections through a proxy server, which is set up in the preferences.

• Speed Limit: You can set a maximum download speed, allowing you to prioritize downloads and conserve bandwidth.

• Customization: Hitomi Downloader offers per-site download folders, video quality selection, a dark mode and settings for thumbnail size and window opacity.

• User Scripts: support for additional sites can be added with user scripts, which are loaded through the Import script command in the Tools menu.

• Portable: Hitomi Downloader needs no installation; you unpack the archive and run the program, so it can also be kept on a USB drive.

• Built-in Tools: the Tools menu includes a searcher, a duplicate image finder, an artist recommendation tool and a random picker.

• Help: the How to use window explains the address bar with example URLs, and the interface is translated into more than ten languages.
