IconPackager is one of the best-known programs for changing the icons of the Windows operating system with a single click of the mouse. This utility supports both the ability to change individual selected icons and the use of entire sets of icons to completely replace all the underlying operating system icons. Not all programs of this type can replace a single icon in the system. IconPackager allows you to do this with a minimum number of actions.

Already with the distribution of the program you will be able to access several ready-made sets of icons, and more than a thousand icon packages can be found at WinCustomize.com. By default, IconPackager uses the Windows Default Icons package, and applying another package replaces the icons of the desktop, folders, drives and common file types at once. There are different categories of icons on your system, and you can change any selected file type icon by pointing the program to another .ico file. The included Package Builder lets you mix icons and build your own icon sets. Icon packages can also be recolored to match your desktop theme.

The program has useful additional settings. The Look & Feel section offers Colors and Live Folders, which show previews of folder contents on the folder icons. The Customize section lets you change the icons of individual file types and system items, and the Settings section holds advanced options.
