MacDrive

MacDrive is a convenient way to get to your Mac disks directly from Windows. The program provides continuous access to the information on macOS partitions (APFS, encrypted APFS and HFS+). The installed program recognizes Mac partitions and gives them drive letters like ordinary Windows volumes, so they open in Windows Explorer and in any program. MacDrive also provides quality information exchange between different types of drives. In particular, Windows users can save files from any Windows application directly to Mac disks. It is possible to transfer information between HFS+ or APFS partitions and partitions of the NTFS and FAT32 file systems at the full speed of the drive. Among other things, MacDrive gives access to Mac-formatted USB drives, SSDs, Thunderbolt and FireWire hard drives as well as Mac CDs and DVDs. There is a Mac CD/DVD burning feature available from Windows.

In general, MacDrive lets you create, format and delete Mac partitions, access all types of drives in the Mac family, repair damaged Mac disks, and see which files take up space with the included Disk Aware tool. For older software, the settings let you change how Mac file types and file names are handled for better compatibility. The MacDrive interface language is English, and its simple tabs and clear icons make it easy to use. The current release, MacDrive 12 by OWC, supports Windows 10 and 11 as well as Windows Server 2019 to 2025 and adds SoftRAID and Apple RAID volumes. It is paid software with a 5-day free trial.
