As a musician and former composer, I would recommend Melody Assistant for Windows for anyone taking a music theory class, or wanting to discover different ways to create unique sheet music. There's a PDF to music option where your music score is converted into actual audio music. Melody Assistant also have a Melody Player option where it will play different types of music files like MIDI, ABC, MOD, S3M, XML and MXL. Once you're finished with your score, if the song contains lyrics as well then the option to edit lyrics and have it sync to the score can become a wonderful and easier way to make music.

As a musician myself I highly recommend this product and the functions that you can allow it to do. Working with many different sound cards, some basic and some high end it's appreciated that SoftSynth works flawlessly with either option you have available to you. If you are looking to write, read, and render any music on a spreadsheet sound note then this is the software for you.
