MiKTeX

MiKTeX is an up-to-date implementation of TeX/LaTeX and related programs, with continual automatic package updates. Regular updates keep the software itself current, and the MiKTeX project maintains an up-to-date package repository. MiKTeX comes bundled with TeXworks which helps you to edit and preview any LaTeX documents you may be working with. MiKTeX is open source, meaning you are welcome to redistribute the software under certain conditions. MiKTeX comes with a complete set of additions for typesetting.

From programs and styles, all the way to fonts, everything is available from the package repository. MiKTeX is easy to install - on Windows, a Setup Wizard guides you through the installation and lets you choose a private (per-user) or a shared (system-wide) installation.

MiKTeX is also available for macOS, where it is installed from a disk image by drag and drop, and for several Linux distributions. MiKTeX has an integrated package manager that installs any missing components from the Internet if required. This means you are able to keep your TeX installation as minimal as possible! MiKTeX Console, the management tool, is used to check for updates, install packages and change settings.
