SplitCamera is a free program that allows you to use a webcam or a regular camera connected to a computer simultaneously in several programs. Typically, a webcam can only be used in one program, and there is no standard Windows option to fix this situation. SplitCamera expands the number of applications simultaneously using a webcam from 1 to 64!

Typically, the camera can only be used in one Windows application, and when trying to connect a second application, an error appears indicating that the device is already in use. After installing the SplitCamera, and connecting it to the video recorder, everything will look as if 64 cameras are connected to your computer. Later on you will connect programs such as MSN messenger or ICQ to the SplitCamera virtual device. Only one pleasant fact remains to mention: SplitCamera is absolutely free software.

SplitCam allows users to simultaneously use a webcam across multiple applications, expanding its usability from 1 to 64 programs.

Analogue and digital cameras: The SplitCamera driver allows you to easily use webcams of all models, as well as regular video cameras (analogue or digital: VHS, DV, TV-IN or TV-tunner) in communication and conference programs such as ICQ, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, Skype Video, Camfrog, AOL AIM, Pal Talk or any other simultaneously;

Support for up to 64 clients: you can connect up to 64 client applications to a single video source. In simple words, SplitCamera separates the video stream from the recording source, and tunnels it to several programs;

Watching and transferring video simultaneously: this is the only application that allows you to not only transfer video from your webcam to multiple friends at the same time, but also to transfer video files. In other words, you can simultaneously play a video file and share it with multiple friends over the network.

SplitCam is a virtual video camera software. This is a freeware software. This application works as a cloning application for virtual videos. It can also split video on the go.

SplitCam can be used as a virtual camera in all popular social media. However, the maximum connection is for up to 64 clients in a single video source. Therefore, only one application can serve as multiple webcam sources for multiple needs. It supports broadcasting to multiple streaming sites simultaneously. It also offers various webcam effects.

However, the connection and setup can be a bit difficult.

I recently tried SplitCam software for the first time and for the most part it worked quite well. It was easy to install and the setup was simple. I could easily stream my web camera to multiple platforms. The video quality was good and there were plenty of effects and customizations to choose from. I had no issues with lagging or freezing. I found the split screen feature to be really useful. The software also allowed me to record my video. All in all, it was a good experience.
