SymMover

SymMover is a free utility that allows the user to move installed programs and folders between different disk drives on a computer. When SymMover moves the program(s) and or folder(s) from their initial disk to another disk, their original path still works in Windows Explorer. This essentially makes Windows and the programs treat the folder(s) as if they were still located on the same drive when indeed, they are on the destination drive. The process starts with SymMover physically transferring the file(s) and or program(s) to the specified destination disk, and it then creates an NTFS junction from the start point to the destination point. It enables users to launch the program from the initial location without the program taking up space in that location. Junctions are an NTFS feature, so both drives must use this file system. Version 1.5.1510 from 2013 is the last release, and the developer's website is no longer online.
