Synfig Studio is a free cross-platform program for creating high-quality vector-based 2D animation in a small team environment. The program works exclusively with vector objects and allows you to create small animated images, and draw entire cartoons. The program is distinguished by a high-quality professional interface, with a working window for the image, and functional panels (tools, properties, layers, navigator, parameters, etc.). To create an animation, the program specifies the key points of the image, and the program calculates and creates intermediate frames. Synfig Studio is focused on the work with vector objects, which allows you to not worry about the possible pixelization of the image when zooming. Raster images can only be used when importing. Using the basic set of tools, the program allows you to create any animation effects. When creating lighting effects, the program uses High Dynamic-Range Imaging technology to achieve optimal brightness; when creating a movie in Synfig Studio, there is no need to draw each frame separately, the program automatically interpolates changes in key frames, smoothing the movement and significantly reducing the time to create animation. In addition, the program provides full support for contour gradients, and other animation effects, which allows you to serial add darkening, blurring and color correction in the right places of drawings, without wasting time on the frame-by-frame work. All effects presented in the program can be applied at any resolution. The program saves its own files in SIF format and with XML markup. The finished movie can be saved in AVI, MPEG, Digital Video and Theora formats, and GIF and MNG formats are used for animation. If desired, individual frames can be saved in BMP, PGN, PPM and OpenEXR formats. An accessible and intuitive interface, combined with the functionality of the software, makes Synfig Studio an ideal choice for creating animation at home.

Synfig Studio allows creation of high-quality, vector-based 2D animation, with automatic interpolation of changes in key frames, saving significant animation time.

This program is an alternative to other photo editing software like Photoshop. I can crop, draw, edit, and paint documents to my liking. In addition, I could use this to animate two dimensional figures. The software is compatible with different operating system, like Windows, Linux, and OSX.

Synfig Studio is a software used for animation. This software is free and is easy enough that it can be available to everyone. If you are not familiar with the software, no worries, they have developed a free course for you to get familiar with it before using. This software is perfect for rendering video formats and animated graphics formats. This software is also perfect for use in solo projects or group projects. By using this software, it will help speed up the animation process because with this software, you use sprites instead of using traditional tweening.
