SystemRescueCd is a bootable disk that will help to restore the operating system in case of a failure and provide useful tools for its administration. The disk is based on Linux and includes such system utilities as Fstools, Parted, Partimage, as well as various file managers, editors and network utilities. SystemRescueCd is designed to work on computers and servers running Windows and Linux operating systems. You can "burn" a disc image to a CD/DVD disc or use special utilities to burn it to USB memory sticks. Please note that the correct operation of all available tools is guaranteed only on the following file systems: NTFS, EXT2, EXT3, EXT4, XFS, JFSV, FAT, iso9660, NFS and Samba.
Such solutions are designed primarily for advanced users. They are often used to make changes to hard disk partitions and, as mentioned above, to "reanimate" the system. SystemRescueCd is distributed free of charge and has open source code. Nevertheless, we highly recommend that you do not use it if you do not have experience with such solutions. Otherwise, you may cause irreparable damage to the hard disk partitions, which will affect the stability of the system.
SystemRescueCD allows advanced users to restore and administer their operating system after a failure, for free.
