Tracker

Tracker is a video-based measurement program for physics lessons and experiments. Students can load footage of a moving object, set a scale, and mark its location over successive frames. Teachers can use the resulting measurements to discuss trajectories, speed, and acceleration, or to compare a classroom recording with predictions from a mathematical model.

Tracking can be done by hand or through automatic point detection. The program plots measurements, fits curves, and places motion indicators over the footage. Users can adjust axes and units, measure lengths and angles, correct perspective or lens effects, and build models of moving bodies. Results can be copied or saved as text, while edited videos can be exported with or without visual annotations.
