This Windows software program is a repair program that lets users create a bootable CD, DVD or USB drive and start the computer from that external disc, which allows users to repair existing problems or issues, including computers that fail to boot, restart in a loop or stop at a black or blue screen. It allows users to repair Windows systems which are corrupt and also enables users to recover data from computers that no longer start. The rescue disk can be created on another, working computer and then used to boot the problem PC.
It allows users to recover lost data, as well as repartition the drive, back up and restore files and clone disks or partitions, which are safety cushions for users who would like to prevent data or file loss. It can also reset a forgotten Windows local or domain password and recover a lost product key, which makes it a useful rescue tool in case of a corrupted or unbootable device. It allows users to wipe files, folders or an entire partition so that sensitive data cannot be recovered.
It supports 32-bit and 64-bit systems and works on Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and 11, with the NTFS, exFAT, FAT16 and FAT32 file systems. The interface follows a simple three-step layout: create the bootable disk, boot the PC from it and start the Windows rescue tools, with built-in guides for burning the disk and booting from it. The current edition is sold by Tenorshare under the 4DDiG brand as 4DDiG Windows Boot Genius, a paid program with a free download to try it before buying, and its interface is available in 16 languages, including English, German, French, Spanish and Japanese.
Boots a PC that will not start from a rescue CD or USB drive so you can repair Windows and recover your files.
