WinEdt

WinEdt is a text editor for Windows that is designed primarily to create TeX and LaTeX documents. Current versions are Unicode (UTF-8) editors that work together with TeX systems such as MiKTeX and TeX Live. Besides plain text, the editor can also work with HTML code. The editor initially has a built-in syntax highlighting system and spell-checking for multiple languages. You can also download additional dictionaries from the developer's website if you wish.

You can also use WinEdt to write macros and scripts. It supports many common encodings, auto-completion, code folding, a rich configuration window and its own PDF viewer with forward and inverse search. WinEdt is shareware: it can be tried for free for 31 days, after which a licence has to be purchased. The editor suits both ordinary users and programmers who write in LaTeX.
