To "mount" a disk on a computer means simply to connect the disk to the computer so it can be used. Mounting is routinely done for Linux systems, but now it can be for Windows with WinMount, but VIRTUALLY for various compressed files like RAR, ZIP, ISO, and TAR. This means you can treat your zip files just like a disk in Word, Excel, and any other application. You don't have to use the ZIP or RAR programs any more, you just save it to the virtual disk.
