Yawcam is a very simple webcam program. It's a very small program that is very easy to use and easy to understand but packs in a lot of features.
It allows you to easily stream your webcam online so that other viewers can watch it. You can set up an automatic schedule for when it will be streaming, so you don't have to activate it manually. You can enable automatic filters for it to have some fun and put on a funny show for your viewers. It's also possible to set it on a motion detection mode so it will automatically start streaming when it detects motion.
There are a number of simple settings available in the settings window where you can set things like scaling or stream type. You can go through advanced settings as well if you would like more input into exactly what is happening.
It's possible for you to see the number of people watching your webcam from the program as well. This would let you see how popular your broadcasts are, which is always good and useful information.
Additionally, Yawcam has a console window which lets you see important information output from the program. This would show you things like errors, and it has to try to connect to the internet or your webcam. This is really useful for troubleshooting your program.
Overall Yawcam is a compact, easy to use program. It's fast and efficient. There's really no reason you shouldn't try it! It's absolutely free, although the developer does accept donations if you should feel so inclined. It's compatible with all versions of Windows starting from 2000, and it simply needs DirectX 9, Windows Media Player 9, and Java Runtime Environment 6 to run. Its simple installer will tell you what, if anything, you're missing and guide you through getting those files.

Yawcam is great webcam software to download on your Windows computer. Yawcam means "Yet Another WebCAM software." The webcam software is very easy to install thru the install wizard. The features I enjoy most are: streaming video, image screenshots, motion sensor, and time-lapse video. Yawcam is free to use but you are welcome to make a complimentary donation. I recently came across Yawcam for Windows while looking for a webcam software to use. I saw that it had a password protection option, which I really like because I usually only use my webcam when I need to hop on a Zoom call and I don't want my kids using it when I'm gone. The image snapshot option is also really useful for when I need to document things during video chat. I also like using the time scheduling option because I am trying to be conscious about screen time during COVID and I would definitely say it has helped me be more aware of how I use my time online. Overall, I would definitely tell others about Yawcam and keep using it in the future.

Yawcam for windows starts its name with the ironical "Yet Another Web" acronym before the "Cam", but this nice bit of software does not have to rely on wit to get attention. It is designed to run on a Windows PC using Java and consequently, it does everything all the other webcam applications do but is much simpler and has a user friendly interface. There is one advantage of Yawcam that puts most competitors to shame and it is not one of the features like time-lapse movies or integral web-server. Its true edge is that it is completely free.

How clever is that! It has all the features I come to expect from a webcam. I can video stream and get snapshots. I love the time lapsed movies.
