ClipGrab

ClipGrab is a free download manager for videos from YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Facebook and other online services that do not allow you to download files. The application supports many of the most popular media resources on the Internet.

The program has a search line that lets you find YouTube videos by name or keywords without using a browser. You can also use your web browser to search for videos, copy the URL of the page where the desired video is located to the clipboard, and the program will automatically detect the link and offer to download the file. Several downloads can run at the same time, and each of them can be paused or cancelled from the Downloads tab.

Before downloading the video ClipGrab offers the user to choose the video quality available on the site and the file format (MPEG4, WMV, OGG Theora, MP3 or OGG Vorbis); the original FLV or MPEG4 file can also be saved without conversion. In addition, the program allows you not only to download original files, but also to convert them to different formats. Conversion takes place right after the download, at the end of which the user receives the finished clip in the selected format. The application's tools also include an option to extract the audio track from the video and save it as a separate audio file. To do this, use the following conversion options: MP3 (audio only) or OGG Vorbis (audio only).

ClipGrab offers the convenience of searching for, downloading, and converting videos from dozens of popular online sources, all in a single application.

ClipGrab has a flexible setup system that allows you to configure the application in detail. The program options allow you to specify a folder for saving downloaded files, set up clipboard monitoring, configure a proxy server, add ID3 metadata to MP3 files, choose notifications and set other download behaviour, such as remembering the video quality or using WebM when possible. ClipGrab is open source under the GPLv3, relies on yt-dlp and FFmpeg, and is available for Windows, macOS and Linux; the Windows installer may offer optional third-party software.
