Drobo Dashboard

Drobo Dashboard Software

Drobo Dashboard Software is the free management application for Drobo storage devices, the USB, Thunderbolt and network arrays built around BeyondRAID technology. The software enables users to find, monitor and configure their Drobo units via a single intuitive interface on Windows or macOS. Drobo Dashboard Software also notifies users about new firmware, Dashboard and DroboApps versions. Drobo, Inc. stopped selling and supporting its products in 2023 and its website has since gone offline, so the program is no longer developed.

Drobo Dashboard Software Features:

The Drobo Dashboard helps simplify data and storage management by providing a centralized, easy-to-use interface.

- Easy-to-use Interface: Drobo Dashboard Software provides a single interface to access and manage all of your Drobo devices, shown as icons or a list and sorted by health, name or product.

• Automatic Discovery: the Dashboard automatically finds all Drobos in the local subnet; Drobo Discovery Settings let you reach a unit in a different subnet or turn automatic discovery off.

• System Health Monitoring: Drobo Dashboard Software shows the status, capacity and drives of each Drobo device and alerts you when a drive needs attention or space is running low.

• Firmware and Software Updates: Drobo Dashboard Software checks for new firmware, Dashboard and DroboApps versions and prompts you before an update is installed.

• DroboApps: on network models such as the Drobo 5N, the Dashboard lets users install and update DroboApps, add-on applications that extend what the device can do.

• Volumes and Shares: Drobo Dashboard Software lets you manage volumes on direct-attached models and shares on network models, and safely shut down the device.

• On-screen and Email Alerts: the Dashboard shows visual alerts from its system tray application and can also send email alerts on all useful information, on important situations or on critical situations only.

• Drobo Settings and Tools: the Tools and Drobo Settings pages let you rename the unit, enable dual disk redundancy on supported models, blink the lights to identify a device, and restart or shut it down.

• Help and Diagnostics: the Help and Support page links to device registration, the user guide and the knowledge base, and can create a diagnostics file for troubleshooting.

• Local Storage: unlike cloud services such as Dropbox or Google Drive, a Drobo keeps your data on local disks, and the Dashboard is the tool for managing them.

• Easy Setup: Drobo Dashboard Software makes it easy to set up and configure your Drobo device and get it up and running quickly.
