I have been using Emacs for about 3 years now. It has a great set of features and I like the fact that it's open-source. The customization options are extensive and it's relatively easy to get a setup that suits your needs. The key bindings are intuitive and it's easy to use. The built-in help system is also very helpful. The ability to install and manage packages is great too. I like how quickly I can get things done with Emacs. The ability to write macros is also very useful. All in all, Emacs is a great tool for writing and working with code.
