ffdshow - a set of DirectShow filters and VFW codec for compression, decompression and processing of audio and video. With its help you can watch almost any movie.
FFDShow uses libavcodec from the ffmpeg project for video decompression (can use xvid.dll supplied with xvid codec), postprocessing code from mplayer for visual improvement of low bitrate compressed movie quality and is based on the original DirectShow filter from XviD.
